Let’s look at a few habits that may help you to be a better version of yourself, for your self-improvement:
1| Eat Healthy
Everybody wants to be healthy. But the harsh reality is that if you want to be healthy you have to put in an effort into it. You’ve got to earn that healthy body by eating right. Here are a few guidelines to follow:
- Find a diet that works for you and your lifestyle.
- Always document and pay attention to what enters your stomach.
- Avoid eating junk food.
- Cook your own meals.
- Always read the ingredients. If something has an ingredient you can’t pronounce, don’t eat it.
- Eat sweets in small, controlled amounts.
- Drink lots of water.
2| Take Care Of Your Teeth
Your teeth are an underrated asset and a stepping stone for self-improvement. Make them a priority. This means brushing after meals (or at least using floss during lunch breaks), brushing with circular motions, and using mouthwash.
Invest in an electric toothbrush if you can. Although it’s not a daily habit, seeing your dentist becomes more important as you age. Do it at least every six months. It’s not just for cleaning and polishing, but also for checking on the sealants for your teeth. Don’t think too much about the costs of these dental procedures. The money spent is more than worth showing a great smile every day.
I don’t know your morning habits. From personal experience, there’s a huge advantage to spending 30 minutes to an hour of exercise in the morning. It goes hand in hand with eating healthy.
If you spend the morning outside being active, the endorphins produced will do wonders for the rest of your day. You’ll be more alert, more energized, and you’ll have a better attitude about work and everything else. Regular exercise allows you to look and feel more attractive.
4| Get Enough Rest
Our body, It’s a machine. It needs to recharge from time to time. Try to get 7-8 hours of sleep every night. Be consistent with the time you hit the bed. Our bodies like getting into a rhythm in terms of rest and activity periods.
What plenty of rest does is prevent you from stressing out. Instead of huge eye bags or fatigue or anxiety, you’ll spend your days with a relaxed and positive mindset. Then that’ll positively impact your aura and body language wherever you go. And women definitely prefer relaxed guys to the stressed type.
5| Practice Good Eye Contact
This one can be tricky. While it’s rude not to look people in the eye (especially during conversations), doing it too much or for too long might make others think you’re a psycho.
Confidence can be an integral part of self-improvement and good eye contact show that you have it. Figure out how much eye contact works best for you. A large part of that depends on your situation and culture. In general, men are the ones who initiate eye contact in romantic settings, while women have a tendency to use their peripheral vision more while they check out a guy. Really attractive women don’t give out as much eye contact as they receive.
6| Build Up The Shoulders
Studies reveal that men become 12% more attractive by wearing shirts with a distinct T-shape because these create the illusion of a stronger chest and well-built shoulders.
Add some tailored blazers or sports jackets to your casual wardrobe, as well as casual button-downs with chest pockets. Look as-built and masculine as your clothes allow you to the first time a woman sees you. You can worry about the gym later.
7| Take Care of Your Skin
A daily skincare routine is essential if you want to look your best and maybe one of the most important steps in self-improvement. You need a morning routine and an evening routine and you should stick to it religiously.
Make sure you use a natural face cleanser, a specially formulated men’s exfoliator, and use a natural moisturizer regularly to keep your skin healthy, clear, and bright.
