5 Night Routine Mistakes Men Make – Men Skin Care

Exercising everyday or grooming yourself everyday might have a little to no effect on your overall appearance if you leave out some of the basic things a person should do in order to look good and have an amazing night’s sleep. And, Some of these basic things men should do for their skin and body in their routine are:

1. Do Not Exercise Before Bed

When you exercise, the heart rate increases to circulate more oxygen (via the blood) at a quicker pace. The more you exercise, the more efficient the heart becomes at this process, so you can work out harder and longer. And, You will have a difficult time trying to fall asleep because of the increased heart rate. In fact, You should aim for 3-hours before going to bed if you want to workout at night.

Caffeine products like coffee, sodas with caffeine, pre-workouts, energy drinks, alcohol, or having too much water can reduce the amount of deep sleep that you enjoy. The effects of caffeine can occur even when you consume it earlier in the afternoon or evening. One study found that consuming caffeine 6 hours before bedtime reduced total sleep time by 1 hour. These effects also can be stronger in older adults. It takes their bodies a longer time to process caffeine.

3. Don’t Go To Bed Dirty

You need to get the day’s dirt off your body & hair so you can feel more refreshed when you wake up. Nobody likes to have dirty body when they lay down on their bed. You need to a shower and make sure to use face wash designed for your face.

Think ahead and use products with targeted ingredients that can help slow down the signs of aging. At bedtime most men can benefit from using a skin treatment lotion that has retinol (Vitamin A), or other anti-aging creams or serums, such alpha hydroxyl, glycolic acid, or peptides for anti-aging.

5. Sleep On Clean Sheets

The human body is home to millions of types of bacteria which can stay on your dirty sheets for a long long time. And, it contains thousands of skin cells that you shed everyday. A dirty pillowcase can cause an increase of breakouts, blemishes, and blackheads. So, In order to take proper care of your body and skin, Men should change your sheets and pillowcase at least once a week and make it an integral part of your weekly routine.
